If you're happy with the device as it is today, happy with the current functionality; then you don't need to switch to another device this second but..
My biggest concern is that 6 months from now, that version of windows 6.X.X I'm running is not going to be any different than it is today. The suite of programs I have installed on my phone, is not going to be any different than it is today. Remaining annoyances will not get resolved and errors will not get fixed.
The reasoning is, program development will shift focus to WM7 or other platforms. For the most part feels like it already has. I'm a big fan of checking out the WM Software section, the TP2 Application threads here and on XDA, freewareppc.com, etc. and can't tell you the last time I've seen any interesting new program come out. The TP2 may not be dead today, but it sure is getting long in the tooth....
