I thought the rom was auto provisioning?

Is this normal?

well even though the phone is going to work after flashing you should provision it so that it sets up all your settings, i even use a cab named boush/nrg sprint mms/sms and that is another file that helps to set up your settings for sms/mms, your internet shouldn't stop working, might be something else you are installing thats breaking that.

yeah between provisioning and the boush cab mine are all set-up and ready to go after installing and a soft reset.

I don't know why it does this, but that is why I'd like to be able to remove some apps from the ROMS.
2nd unrelated question about my speed/lagginess issues, if I go through and delete some of my older text messages, will that probably speed it up, or no?

bro with as many flavors of roms that NRG cooks up you should be able to find one that suits you, he has a rom from bare essentials all the way up to fully loaded. no you can't pick and choose what gets installed with the rom, that would be nice if we could do that, but that's just not how it is, you can go in and find a program like arkswitch and delete that, but you have to go into certain places on the rom and delete all instances of it, truthfully it can be done but you will have a lot of searching to find everything associated with the program and where it's buried at in the rom/registry, probably more work than it's worth for most people.
yeah it's best to delete old text messages that you don't need any more and yes it will speed things up. make sure to delete old texts from sent box and then the deleted box.
