Nandroid is a full backup of your phone. Install a new rom dont like it use the nandriod to restore your backup. Now if you want those sprint aps gone but don't want to flash a new rom then try root explorer or even better try
Titanium Backup for Android ? Official Site titanium backup. Both will only work if rooted. Now on 4g signal no. My 4g works great with unrevoked and it also keeps all data and stock rom. Your phone will be no different other then now having root
