The map is actually pretty cool. On my TP2, the GPS was accurate enough to show which side of the street I was walking on.

Over a 5 mile course (including almost a dozen 90 degree turns) the distance will be off by about a 0.2 mile. Not bad at all, but enough to affect pace calculations. I have no problem with this for now.
Once a workout is uploaded to the web, the software allows me to edit the route. The process is simple but a little time consuming. After editing, the distance is usually right on target.
