Thing is im a kernel dev and since epic already has an open kernel, there isnt much to do. Writing apps aren't my thing..

Its not fully open..from what I hear the drivers are pre-compiled...thus making it harder to port custom roms from say an EVO, Nexus one and etc...for now we can only use Samsung roms as a base for roms..

Also depending on how things go we might need a gingerbread port..


Edit: Also..hummingbird has specs for playing back 1080p and recording at 1080p..so there are a few functionalities like this locked away.
