Re: So what do you guys think so far?
Seems there are issues on both of the phones. I myself got a bad Evo my 1st time out, though it was exchanged for a brand new, seemingly flawless one. I do not have any experience on the Epic, other than what I got playing with one at a Sprint store. I had 30 days to exchange and considered going with the Epic. After playing with it in the store, I stuck with the Evo. The Amoled screen is beautiful, though it seems rather cartoonish. Comparing gaming between the Epic and the Evo, well, to the average joe, seems almost the same. True, the amoled screen makes it look a tad better, but does it blow the Evo away? Can't say that it does. I came fromt he TP2, though with Windows many faults, the hardware itself seemed pretty sturdy. The Epic seems like a cheap knockoff. Seems poorly made, real flimsy. Basically, the Evo seems sturdy and trendy, while the Epic does not.
If you are looking for a beautiful (almost cartoonish) screen and a keyboard, get the Epic. If you want a beautiful, rather rugged, thin handset, Evo. As far as the specs, does a fraction of a second really matter?
