POP3, MS Push, Blackberry, mNotes etc

OK so my company allowed only VP and higher to get Blackberries so I got an xv6700 with mNotes to Sync while tethered - not optimal but I had a calendar with me always so that was cool. Then I went to the xv6800 (now I am addicted) but they also (this week) opened up Blackberries to everyone. Once I was ahead of the tech curve now I will be a fossil because I WILL NOT trade my 6800 for a Blackberry. My help desk says they only support Blackberries. Does anyone have creative solutions? I have run into a few dead ends (or at least difficult paths)
1. Blackberry Connect for Pocket PC - then put a Bberry sticker on my xv6800 ad tell them its a pearl
2. POP3 - although I have heard that many companies do not open this up
3. Forwarding email to SMS (sounds messy to me)

What adds salt to the wound is that we have Web based Lotus Notes and my browser on my 6800 gives me an error - too many frames or something.
