lol jk..though if you have proper headsets with 5.1 audio I hear it does work...whats kidna missing is a transcode of 5-6 channel audio to stereo on the speakers or other stereo devices...maybe they'll fix it with froyo..idk..I guess report it to samsung and see?

Hmm..maybe Touchwiz is conflicting with the Handcents for notifications? my guess is they Handcents fix it...you can also disable TouchWiz and that might solve your issue.

Well yes thats why Google built it..but Android is open-source..in some places they completely removed all traces of Google...you can actually remove all instances of Google if you really wanted to...
But overall its your choice..do what you think is best for you..all we can do is try to assist you if you need help :/
