The proximity sensors hangs of the side of my ear and turns the screen on, and the rear part of my ear rubs the top right of the screen, which launches the full screen notification window. Another ear rub on the top right pushes the comm manager link on the top row of notifications, one more pushes the airplane mode button in the comm manager. Seems unlikely but i have verified this with a friend watching.
I would bet most of us having this problem are either left handed, or just commonly hold the phone with their right hand to the right ear. I have never had this happen with the phone in my left hand, as the sensor and the buttons dont line up.

This is exactly what is happening...The ear rubs against the task bar on the top of the screen and then hits the comm manager icon (which is also at the top of the screen) and then the ear will toggle airplane mode "on" (which is conveniently located...at the top of the screen!). This has been driving me crazy for months. I am always dropping calls. So, one day I played with the TP2 to find the cause and found that this is the only combo/explaination.
If anyone has a way to fix this issue (besides resorting back to Win 6.1), it would be greatly appreciated.
