Okay, I've had to reinstall Fresh ROM 2.4.0, and decided to keep track of my phone's internal storage as I went through my "cleaning up" process. And, I've noticed something odd. Why is it that my "internal storage available" drops when I remove things?
I kept a log to show what I'm talking about
:
HERO with stock Fresh 2.4.0 ROM
93.47 MB
After Nand backup
93.35 MB
After removing some shortcuts off Home Screen
93.34 MB
After deselecting all Location/Background data options
93.32 MB
After powering off and starting up again
93.28 MB
After changing Lock Screen and Home Screen background
93.26 MB
After setting Background Data and reboot
93.36 MB
After Nand backup
92.33 MB
Removed some unneeded apps **
92.21 MB
Nand backup then reboot
92.18 MB
Moved one Nand backup from SDcard and reboot
92.16 MB
** I can't list what apps I removed, CMD prompt seems to have a limit on all commands it stores on screen, but I can provide what apps/programs I still have on my phone:
Code:
C:\android-sdk-windows\tools>adb shell
# su
su
# mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system
mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system
# cd /system/app
cd /system/app
# ls

So, why would my internal phone storage, that is available, be lower than stock which has more "bloatware" in it?
