its a long story. i was promsed one this morning. i call this afternoon to see if there is a tracking number yet. the csr i got told me i would have to pay one hundred dollars for the unit. not what i was told this morning i responded. so she transferred me to tech support and i went round and round with this guy.
so he called a retention supervisor who told him i was getting a free unit and the order was being processed.
hence, why i asked the above question.

Sounds like he just didn't want to give you one. Should have told him " I didn't know you could make calls using wifi!"
The Airave also boosts your 1x signal used for making phone calls. I have no problems now. Before I couldn't even call *2 for customer service because it said I was roaming on U.S. Cellular.
This new unit has Sprint VOIP capability. I guess you can plug an external phone into it to make calls? Still researching this and haven't found much. I'm guessing it's an extra service you have to pay for. Anyone Familiar with this??
