I think miami's right. Having no idea about whether what horn said was true, I tried a little experiment. I enabled that option in SKtools and it did in fact bring up a few of those unregistered programs like Opera9.
But, guess what happens when I use the "uninstall" option on in SKTools? It only APPEARS to work. It removes opera9 from the list, it claims it freed up about 7.5 MB. But when I go back to the windows folder... there's Opera9.exe still, taking up 7.5 MB of space.
Beyond that, when I delete it using total commander, it thinks for a second then says "could not delete 1 item".
I soft reset just to make sure that the file maybe wasn't erroneously being listed in TC even after deletion (maybe it wasn't letting me delete because I already had deleted it?). But after reset, when I got back to my windows folder, it's still there. And it still can't be deleted (though the entry for opera9 is now missing from SKtools uninstall).
I hate to say it horndoctor, but I suspect some of those programs you cleaned up with sktools weren't really uninstalled, sktools just thinks they are.

Look guys, some stuff can't be removed. Like Opera for example. But several apps can be uninstalled freeing up some storage memory. You will find that any exe files in the Windows directory can't be removed but many carrier branded apps like Sprint Nav can be uninstalled which will free up several MBs. These apps have lots of files in the Program Files directory that can be removed. If you check your storage memory before and after it will show up. Any file that is labeled a System File in Rom cannot be deleted but not all files associated with certain apps are marked this way. Those can be removed. It comes down to trial and error. Some stuff will uninstall and leave nothing but the cab file in the Windows directory which is marked as a System File In Rom so it is the only part remaining. Some stuff won't like Opera. I found this out by trial and error first on my Vogue and then my Diamond. You just have to try and see. Also, sktools will sometimes let you move folders with program files from some apps that were installed to device memory to storage card which will free up some more program memory. Again, sometimes it will work and other times it won't but if you check storage memory before and after you can tell if it worked.
