Re: New SERO Oct 1st

Well before this gets closed down i'd like to throw in my 2 cents.

I can see both sides to this argument but i do think i side more with nerys..

Basically this argument is over $10, the $10 for using 4g is a given and thats not a new charge, once i get 4g in my area it will be well worth it. It is a new technology and i dont mind paying for NEW

If sprint is worried about using more data with an Android phone then they need to enforce the 5g data limit, they aren't worried though it's just an excuse from them and that's ok because they make the calls.

Now if they would do that and let us use what we have Always used (500min, texts, 5g data) then the only reason they would have for charging an extra $10 is subsidy on the phone. And if they want to do that, then even that makes sense. Where I don't agree is if someone would pay retail for a phone, getting no subsidy from the carrier yet still charge them more a month for the Exact same thing, Same data, same texts, same minutes.

Now this isn't just an issue with Sprint. Every other carrier also does this, what do you get for NOT taking advantage of carrier subsidy? Nothing besides not being locked into a 2 year contract.

Let me sum it up, I don't disagree with the extra $10 charge IF you are going to get the phone for a discounted price through the carrier. But if you are going to buy a phone outright and use the same thing you're going to use with any other phone then i do disagree with the charge.

Since everyone is so obsessed with analogies let me try to give mine.
You buy a car and sign a contract to buy gas at $30 a week. After 2 years of that and you upgrade cars now they want to charge you $40 a week just because it's a nicer car. Even though you use the exact same amount of gas. Most people won't think twice about it but i just think its wrong. If the place you buy the car from gives you a discount on the car if you buy gas from them then yes raise it to $40.
