have no idea. just call like i suggested and tell them you need the unlock code. if they say the phone has to be activated, then activate it real quick.

If you dont want to get the sim unlock code for free from verizon, then just go to the sim-unlock sticky thread in the Upgrade section and buy one. it's was around 20 bucks the last time i looked.
