And also a 1001 and one ****tail app. So I'm thinking about going with an update to my kernal. My battery life is absolutely horrible. I have two classes that end about 2:00 but my phone will not last from 8 am till 2pm so I'm trying to figure out ways for my battery to get me thru the day. Of course I'm a heavy user. Maybe a very heavy user. Second my phone is stuck in a building that is used for a tornado bunker so my signal is of course terrible. I also you to chat apps and bluetooth. Am I being gready by thinking my phone should make it six hours without completely dying on me?
I assume all of these issues are new? Did you try wiping cache and dalvik?

How many messages do you have? If you have A LOT of messages that could be causing a slowdown.
Being in a bunker with poor reception could cause constant signal search which would definitely toast the battery-but again-was this your first time in that building?
