That's always the best way to flash. Once I started flashing from SD card I never got a bad flash, never task 29 or double flash or any of that other crap people think you have to do.
BTW, I've been on 8-20 CHT and it seems pretty much the same as the previous version. I'm not having any problems other than the occasional screen flicker when changing pages, which I've had ever since I started using CHT.
