Its happening to me too... Its intermittent but still very irritating. Sometimes when I look up at the top bar the 3g icon is gone. Wifi works but when I turn it off the 3g comes back but only for a few mins. Then It goes away and I have no data connection again. Like some of the other users have stated I too try doing prl and profile updates during the outtage but they do not work. Also, when I go to settings to make sure my data connection is on it says connecting (i personally have stared at it for over 11 mins).

I have a few questions about this...

Does anyone think this has anything to do with *18? I found a thread here a few days ago that said that pushing *18 would give me a better signal and even though others said it was working for them. Mine showed no improvement. Could this have something to do with it?

I'm not rooted and running stock android 2.2 What about you guys?

I have an airaive and it happens at home more often than other places. Anyone else have an airave?

Is it possible that sprint could be capping data for some users that use a lot? I dont think this is the case but it certainly would PI$$ a lot of people off especially after $10/mo extra.

Its probably not but here is what I hope the problem is... Sprint is testing 4G in our areas and its causing issues but 4G will be coming soon!! Somebody please tell me this is it!
