As a note, I found a cable in the middle of the keyboard with a push-on connector that had come off. The upper loose end just slipped over the lower part and pressed in place, no problem.
Also, on mine anyway, the keyboard could push up slightly from underneath by pressing in the battery compartment; the panel was loose, as if it was just inserted and held in by the keyboard. I didn't want to press hard, since I didn't know for sure what was going on, but it was enough to get a fingernail under the edge of the keyboard to slide around the edges to get it free.
Be very careful, though - there are a lot of small items and connectors here.
