Verizon has the Incredible which is damn near the same phone. (Of course recently changes were made to the desire to switch to the sony screen but I think they did the same thing wth the nexus one and incredible) So I can't see them getting the desire. I hope I'm wrong though, the more carriers that get it, the more support in the modding community it will receive.

I have not heard anything about an official 2.2 release just yet but sooner would be better.
