Its actually a pretty cool feature. I set my most used slider icons on the slider but did not have room for my music icon. So having the music applet on the home screen blank space makes it as easy as flicking upwards to listen to my music.

This is exactly what I"m talking about. I removed the music tab, and just wanted to put the player on the extra space on the hometab.
I can play my music with WMP and on the Sense Tab, I just can't add the player to the home tab without having issues.
