1. Just how widespread is this problem? Is it isolated to a region or lot number?

2. Has Sprint or HTC fessed up to this problem and can fix it?

Thanks,

Honestly it is not only limited to Sprint. I have the Verizon XV6800 and I have a screen spot too. I replaced this phone already once and that one got a screen spot too.

It looks as if that spot is brighter than the entire screen even when you brighten the entire screen.

It might be an HTC problem. Who knows they might recall the phones and make new ones to replace the ones that where affected by this issue.

I dont know what causes it, I thought it was because an image was burnt into the screen but a friend of mine has the Mogul and got it too.
