There may be a way to adjust it, but this is also fundamentally a physics problem. These screens work on capacitance which can be affected by certain factors. One issue these phones had was improper grounding; you had to hold the phone in your hand to get the screen to react properly. Depending on the climate, low humidity can create a stronger separation of charges. Sometimes your body has such a high potential relative to the screen that it becomes that much more sensitive.
The point is, even if you could adjust the screen's sensitivity, it may all be for naught; the sensitivity is dependent on factors that can vary, meaning you would have to constantly adjust it based on your climate or how long you've been dragging your feet on a rug.
