Nope, haven't heard anything yet.
As far as the icons it just a matter of making the icons transparent, not to do with the actual slider. There are 3 or 4 sets of each icon, one of them is the one that sits atop the slider. I'm at work and can't remember which one it is... If that's what you're talking about...
