You can find old XP boxes for $100 if you look around. Nothing good for gaming but good for stuff like this. Alternately, get something more up to date to replace that old MacBook
You can build a great modern PC for $500-750 or buy one from Apple for $1200 and install XP as well as OSX if you prefer OSX.
