Well first of all stock android is about 12346342324 times more stable and smoother than a stock winmo device so the rush to flash a custom rom woudn't be as bad. But more importantly if you phone came with stock froyo then you can't root anyway so you will have to deal with it being stock for the time being until one of these geniuses around here figure out how to root a stock evo with froyo.
