Doing this works, but I would also recommend a DHCP pool. Add the MAC ID of your Evo and all your other devices on the network to the DHCP list...and if you know thats all you have (device wise) on the network, make your IP range on your router from 100-199 to 100-105 or 110, depending on how many devices are connected to that router. IE mine is 192.168.0.100 through 107....I only have 7 devicess that will connect to my router, if I need to I will open up another one making it 108. This way you don't have any straglers trying to break into your router and taking one of the 90 other IP's you have open. MAC Address filtering is also go because it will only allow those devices on your network with the desinated MAC ID's you inputed to be on your network. It's a double redundancy in theory....thats what I do and I havn't had any issues. Just though I would throw that out to you guys. If you need help don't hesitate to PM me...I will try to help you set it up.
