Re: how to get custom docks to display unread text and email amount???

The only Launcher that I know which displays notifications is LauncherPro. There's an option to enable it via "Preferences" > "Dock Settings".

- There's Unread SMS, which works for almost all mainstream SMS apps. (Handcent, Chomp, Sense, Stock)
- A Missed Call, which displays calls that have been missed in a numerical value.
- Then lastly Unread E-mails, this only works with Gmail as far as I know.

Just put the app in your dock and it will do the rest. Super simple.

I'm waiting for Sense E-mail and Voicemail support, but other than that it works like a charm. I did notice the "Unread Count" force closing my LauncherPro, but I fixed that by forcing it to load into memory via "General Settings" and "Keep in Memory". Play with it at first before trying that fix. See if you encounter problems with it force closing, then try it. :)
