Think about it though, it was HTC. They probably had the fix all along. This was probably a ploy to gain attention, free advertising. Just as they "leaked" the xx.3 update, they got the fix "leaked" as well..

To what end? Well perhaps also to burn some early adopters to think twice next time about installing a leak.
