Eh, use PIM backup. With that, "back up" your txt msgs only, and don't do a compressed format.
Then, view the file and it'll be in a CSV format. That isn't that friendly, but once you filter out some things it'll be easily usable. I used that for court proceedings when I had to provide evidence! It has date/time stamp with a lot of other things that might be useful to you
