Re: [ROM] Verizon MR2 Fixed by Mr. X, Boots with an unlocked device
Ran into issues running this, any and all help is very appreciated.
Ok, so here are the steps I took. Was running verizons MR1 rom on my touch pro 2 with a bunch of installed programs and some customizations installed and was mostly happy with the setup I had. I had been looking towards some of the features of the MR2 and figured I would use the version from Mr X since that was said to fix some of the issues in the stock one and also had some of the customizations I would add already in there.
I ran ‘RhodiumW-HardSPL_V1_10R3.exe’ to unlock the phone and then ran ‘RUU_Rhodium_W_S2_VERIZON_WWE_4.01.605.15_Ship_M r.X_Fixed.exe’ to update the rom. This is where some of the issues start up. After the update and during the reboot the ‘preparing phone for initial use’ initial setup screen comes up. Near the end or after the bar completes the following errors come up.
cprog.exe
‘cprog’ is not a valid Pocket PS application.
This can be closed with an ok button
The error below can not:
Error
Run XML
\windows\APPostConfig.xml failed
Code:0x800700C1
I can cancel the set up new phone screen in the background by hitting the cancel call button and them navigate my way to the task manager and force close the error window. This seems to cause some other issues though as the home screen menu button doesn’t seem to do anything now and a few other things seem missing.
I restarted a few times and got the error to go away somehow and proceeded to start setting up the phone and installing the software and customizations I wanted. Then this morning I was doing something, I think I was updating a program and it hung to the point I had to do a hard reset with the button in the case. This caused the phone to essentially revert to its fresh from the rom settings. During startup it went into the ‘preparing for first use’ again and everything I had installed was gone now.
Ive tried to redo the rom and still get the errors above and cant seem to get rid of them this time. I have also tried this both with and without the microsd card in the phone.
Also saw this after one of the soft resets, ‘ConnectionSetupAuto’ is not a valid Pocket PC application, not sure if this is tied to it. Thanks in advance!
