If you use phonealarm I don't believe there is a way to get the notifications. Otherwise you should be able to go to start-settings sounds & notifications to change the sound file. On the Notifications tab select Event "Messaging: New Message (Palm" and then select a sound file to use. The cab install selects Treo Classic for the sound file. This is fine for treo's, but other devices will not have this file. You'll need to pick another. |

So while you are in a chat window and get a new text in that same window you hear an audible alert? If so you are the first person to report it working with phonealarm. What version of PA are you using?
