I am trying to update to Froyo, but when I hit HTC Software Update, it just sits on the "checking" screen. I also found that if I try to update profile I get the error message:

"The application HTC DM (process com.htc.android.omadm.service) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again"

I tried downloading the update to my PC, then stuck it on the storage card as update.zip, and tried to go into recovery mode, but it just gave me a screen with a red triangle with an exclamation point.

I called Sprint and they had me restore the data profile, but it didn't work. They basically said they could not support me because the 2.1 version I had was current and they showed no record of the 2.2 update.

Please help.
