Yes they are..it is not only Android but all cellphones like Winmo and iOS...These malware though isn't like a pc where you get it while surfing the net...more closely you installing apps that monitor more info then they really should..(Android though gives you a warning before installing what features the app accesses though..as in the recent of wallpaper app accessing ppls personal data and such)

Edit: There is also this: http://androidspin.com/2010/08/01/ha...t-android-bug/ .....>.>....

Google Nod32 for antivirus or my personal favorite Vipre for virus & spyware
Sigh...Norton is actually one of the best if not the best...they have improved a lot ever since 2009 making it less bloated...and you gotta get the Norton Internet Security pack..NOT Norton 360...and NOT Norton Antivirus alone..it has to be the Norton Internet Security pack

To be fair though Nod 32 is a lot less bloated and has comparable detection rates..but unfortunately unlike norton is not free every year after rebate.

The ultimate security I would consider aside of course an educated user..is:

Norton Internet Security 2010
Spybot Search & Destroy
Adaware
Malwarebyte

and use Google chrome for general surfing the internet and Firefox for secure places like banks and etc...

Again Norton alone is not enough..it has to be all the 4 above to be perfect as it can get...
