I've read some guys got all their stuff back. Someone posted only wiping dalvik cache and cache twice and everything was their once he flashed 2.2?

Any confirmations on that.. I really HATE having to reinstall All my stuff again..
Once you have your nand you should feel confident that you can get experimental and have that to fall back on.
Sprint has said this update will NOT erase your data-confirmed by a few posts I've read and as you said.
(Yeah I have NO idea how that Dude could do a wipe and still have his ish ) EVERY chef says to wipe but you could always be a Test Pilot and just do it without wiping
I dont know WHAT data Sprint was saying wont be erased but I DO know some of the system data from 2.1 wont work on 2.2 so I dont think the data.img is the way to go. Could be wrong.
I used Titanium backup for my apps, no biggie, installed all of them back in a few minutes. Contacts and Calendar are restored with gmail so I was all set.
In the end resetting up the ROM is a small price to pay for a seat on the Test Flight
