No. The FCC docs do not say anything at all about Verizon having disabled anything. I've read them. Have you actually done so?

Your link is to someone's interpretation of what they say they saw on the FCC website, not to any objectively factual information. There is no actual direct information at your link. I'm not saying Borg561 is wrong, but I am saying your link is extremely weak evidence.

See if you can show that:

a) Verizon (or someone else) disabled the function as opposed to not enabling it

b) The FM radio function theoretically present in the chipset is physically connected in a way that makes it usable under any circumstances.
