it looks like it bricks your phone but what really happens is that people aren't doing the update properly. you must be in boot loader mode when applying the patch. btw, bricking your phone means its a brick and no longer works
the issue I have with this update/hack is that it won't see my sd card after the second reboot
I'm sure I'm not alone and there will likely be a fix for it like other issues and a cleaner ROM will probably arrive next week!
