Ok, the thing I don't understand is it worked before on both systems. The current one is a laptop ibm t43 with no other usb devices plugged in. I've also plugged it into the laptop dock that has a usb mouse plugged in.
The dock is plugged in and powered by an external power source. It powers the laptop when it's connected. I've charged my phone before on other builds of NRG.
