I had (and still have) a BlackBerry 8700g through T-Mobile.
This is how I think it is better than the PPC-6700:
Like I said earlier, the BlackBerry "push" email is completely integrated, and you can add on any emial account that you want without have to go through this difficult process like with the PPC-6700. With the PPC-6700, I had to first set up an account at Mail2web for $2.00 per month. Then I had to change my Gmail settings to forward to my Mail2web Exchange server. Then I had to set up Activesync on my PPC-6700. The BlackBerry email is faster on both sending and receiving too.
Most importantly, I can get an unlimited international data plan through T-Mobile for $20 extra per month and use the 8700g anywhere in the world with GPRS service. I get unlimited email / internet. I can also tether it to my computer anywhere in the world (and in the USA) and basically have an internet connection on my laptop anywhere in the world (included in the $20 per month).
Other than that though, the PPC-6700 is better. The BlackBerry 8700g completely SUKS for internet!! EVDO is wayyyy faster than the T-Mobile EDGE.
So there you have it. I think that I'll be keeping both since I travel international about once every two weeks.
And by the way, I still can not get the sent emails to show up in my Gmail sent box. I emailed Mail2web tech support and they said that you could not do that. Oh well.
