The best I can tell so far, is that Arcsoft does
not use its own unique file names for its own files, and change the registry appropriately to its unique file names. Instead, Arcsoft uses Microsoft's file names for its own files, and therefore, deletes/removes/overwrites the original Microsoft files.
My guess so far, is that to get rid of Arcsoft, one will need to find copies of all the original Microsoft files (the WM 6.5.3 versions). Possibly use those Microsoft files to build a .cab that will overwrite the Arcsoft files (turn-about is fair game) when installed.
