I just posted this a few pages back, but DaveTN wrote an excellent guide to a virtually fail-proof flashing experience
here, which is essentially what I've been practicing all along, and I rarely ever (if at all) get a crash running the 21xxx GTX series of ROMs, and I've used every one lately since early May. I highly recommend at least checking out
DaveTN's post (same link) if you didn't see it when it was posted, I know things get buried pretty quickly around here.
