Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro -- Now working on Verizon! And with GPS!
Politics has it's place, and it is not here. I have ran 6.1 as well as a couple 6.5 ROM's and booted into Android just fine with my CDMA RAPH800 from fresh boots as well as with a couple days run-time in WinMo (currently only using my stock 6.1 with hardly anything installed since I use Android 90% of the time). Correct me if I am wrong, but the 500 has a good deal less RAM than the rest of the Touch Pros, so 65% of what you have would be a lot less used RAM than 65% on an 800. If someone with an 800 can launch Android with heavy RAM usage, which would be more used RAM than on yours, perhaps you have some bad RAM or something?
I agree that something is wrong with your setup if it can't boot at 65%, but I do not think it is an inherent Android problem judging from what I have seen since I started following the IRC channels/wave/forums for the devs back at the beginning of the year.
Now, instead of turning this into more of a bickering contest, lets try to find out what is going on with the device a little more. Post the logcat like hamagc suggested so we can look at it and see a little more of what is going on under the hood.
