Now i am Juicy's R8 ROM and it has mortscript built in, i believe most custom ROM's have it built in, if not you will need to download it.
First of all you need to change one of the buttons within the Comm Manager through the registry. Since I am running Juicy's R8 ROM and his version has a 3G button, and since i am on sprint and that button is of no use to me I simply changed that one. You can change whichever button you prefer and that is found in the following directory: "HKLM\Software\HTC\Comm Manager" within there you will see folders with numbers that correspond to each button. For me it was folder 6. I changed the key named Default from 3G to VOIP. After a soft reset and you go back into Comm Manager depending which button you switched it should now say "IP Phone"
Next you need to apply the mortscripts attached. The only thing is they need to be applied after every soft reset. So to avoid having to manually apply it every time i simply copied them into the folder \Windows\Startup, and every time the phone starts the mortscripts are applied and the "IP Phone" button works flawlessy.
This has made my VoIP expercience a lot better on my device and even call quality has improved. Any questions feel free to ask!!

I am using MightyRom and it says it includes VOIP but I have no idea so I am trying this. Do you think its possible to create a new registry key in Comm Manager called 7 ? Well, I am trying it... will let you know.
Update: Trying to add a new item (7) did not work. My 6 folder (actually 7th cause numbering of items starts at 0) was already customized by MightyRom to be used for Wifi Router. I ended up replacing folder 4 which was Microsoft Push Email. I never use Push as I believe its a battery drainer.
Why do you need both
WM6VoIPFull.cab
Setup_VoIP_v0.3.cab
Wouldnt just the first be sufficient?
Also, I do not think mine is working. When I call my home phone what number should show up on the caller id - my mobile or my voip number? I figured that would be a way to test it.
