1. only need to unlock if you want to flash custom Roms..

2. the manila weather works good..another would be WeatherPanel, but alot of us stopped using that a long time ago... on your home screen? whered it go, shouldve been there stock
3. radio, like FM Radio? doesnt work on Sprint.. if you mean SIM Unlocked, like poping in a SIM and using a different network, thats here:
