I think for co0kie, you can download the latest and install it. I can't delete it from the rom because there're just too many files involved, but overwrite the included, should work fine.
Edit: Interesting, I do see kimi's people-pages.xml in the rom. Sorry, I didn't flash my phone yet, I'm checking the content
Edit2: just tried. Looks to me the interface is not localized enough for vga, when you sweep on the "task bar", the icons are high above the screen. And I do get error msgs for the sms.
