Had a similar situation myself. Bought from BB, bottom of screen lifting and light leaking. Called and they said had no idea when they would get them in.
So I'm friendly with the rep, and ask what would you do? he says bring it back and exchange it for a diff (altogether) phone and that would "re set" my 30 days.
Naaaa, I just return it and go back to my treo pro. don't have to worry about any 30 day crap. When they get em they get em. That's when I'll buy another.
It's good it worked out for you but man, I hate that sort of dinkin around. CS reps seem to say anything sometimes, we all need our BS antenna on at all times
