so u go to control panel to uninstall any htc drivers?

when i plug the phone in how should i set it? debugg? disk drive? how?

will this just root my phone? will my comtacts and settings be untouched?

will the next OTA unroot it?

all i wanna do is have free wifi tethering that's it. please confirm all of this! thanks!!!! im an android noob sorry for the stupid questions...
