"Thank you for contacting Sprint. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The Pocket PC phones (such as the HTC Touch you have) do not have a software interface for sending picturemail to phone numbers. There was a third party picturemail software interface made by "ArcSoft" that was being distributed via the Internet. This third party software is likely how you were sending picturemails to phone numbers on the Touch.

Unfortunately, that software was illegally pirated from a rival cell phone carrier's Windows Mobile phone model and reconfigured for Sprint. As such, for legal reasons we were forced to block it.

Please be advised that blocking the pirated software fix was not only to avoid legal action against Sprint, but to avoid a situation where legal action might force Sprint to terminate the service of users of said pirated software (some of whom were likely not aware it was pirated software).

At this time, we do not have a method to send picturemails from a Pocket PC device besides email. We apologize again for any inconvenience.

Thank you again for contacting Sprint. We appreciate your business.

So yeah there it is
If that's the case, too bad the makers of the hack can't just imitate a legitimate phone.

Since Sprint's servers somehow must recognize that its coming from the MMS hack, I wonder if there's a way for them to act like its coming from a Fusic or some other non-PDA phone.

I know you can do that kind of stuff with User-Agents in browsers, but I have no idea how that MMS hack actually worked.
