Did the fact that I removed the clock from the Home screen make you think it was disabled?
Fast-look at those parameters and see if you notice any improvements.

Go to Menu>Settings>Call and make sure Hearing Aids isn't checked.
Parameters checked, no noticeable difference still. Doesn't matter really, I'm on the latest OMJ and that's all that matters to me.
