My phone is always laggy for a minute or so right after a reboot regardless of pagepool size. I don't know if it's because of all the processes that are starting up or all the graphics that haven't been cached yet. After a minute or so it's smooth scrolling. Same with photos. The first time I use the photos tab after a reboot it's real laggy. After that it's smooth. Pagepool hasn't made a difference that I can notice. YMMV.
