I can't imagine what you can't stand about the update.. But I do know that if you do update via the updater on the phone, you will go to the most recent. I don't think it's possible to update to one that isn't the most recent. But the newest update doesn't actually change anything on the phone that would hurt you. All it does is remove the screen grounding issue and work out a few other bugs..
